Talaash' has a repeat value: Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan says his newest film Talaash may be a supernatural thriller, but it does have a repeat value. The actor is also aware that the film has not been liked by a miniscule segment of the audience.

Bollywood star Aamir Khan knows his latest release Talaash does not cater to a universal audience, but he is glad with the response it has received.

"'Talaash' is not a universal film. There is a supernatural element in this film and it was a risky film to make. Around 80 to 90 per cent of the audience liked the film," Aamir told reporters here Tuesday.

He says his next release Dhoom 3 is a universal project.

"Even kids will like that film. But 'Talaash' has got a different audience," said Aamir.

"But I am glad that the film has opened so well and is doing good business at the box office. What made me really happy was that the emotion that I went through while shooting for the film, even the audience went through the same emotion while watching it," he added.

Aamir Khan, who plays a police officer in the movie, says "Talaash" has a repeat value.

"I don't think that a suspense drama does not have any repeat value. In fact, the audience is liking the film more when they are watching it for the second or third time. The film has not got 100 percent positive response as many people may not like the supernatural films, but 'Talaash' has repeat value," he said.

Aamir feels the movie will inspire filmmakers to push their creative boundaries.

"I am happy that the audience is liking this films. It is a very difficult film to make. When such film work at the box office, it pushes the boundaries for the creative people to explore their talent," he said.

He says the team behind "Talaash" is not planning a sequel as of now.

Directed by Reema Kagti and penned by Zoya Akhtar, "Talaash" also features Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor.

Katrina Kaif goes high on action for ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘Knight and Day’ Hindi remake

After playing a smart undercover agent in Ek Tha Tiger, Katrina Kaif is ready for grittier action in her upcoming films -- Dhoom 3 and the Hindi remake of Knight and Day.

Both the films will test Katrina Kaif’s physical endurance, and the actress is ready for the new challenge. “Katrina trained hard for the action sequences in ETT (Ek Tha Tiger). Now, she is looking to push the envelope and attempt more complex stunts,” a source is quoted as saying.

It’s learnt that Katrina Kaif is all set to perform her own stunts, without using body doubles in both Dhoom 3 and the Hindi remake of Hollywood flick -- the Tom Cruise starrer Knight and Day.

If she learnt scuba diving for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, she is training in acrobatics for her forthcoming films. Dhoom 3 requires her to shoot an underwater fight sequence, and Katrina will do it without using a body double, while KND remake will have action scenes of Hollywood standard.

In the Knight and Day Bollywood remake, Katrina Kaif is pairing up once again with Hrithik Roshan. To ensure that the standard of the action sequences are at par with Hollywood, the makers have roped in international stunt co-ordinators like Robert Alonzo, David Rowden, Gregg Smrz and Ronn Surels.

Katrina has struggled tooth and nail to cement her position as Bollywood’s most sought after actress. Will she make a good action star? Do tell us.

What happened to Katrina Kaif’s hand?

Kat suffers injury

Ek baar maine commitment kardi toh phir main apne aap ki bhi nahi sunta. Katrina Kaif seems to have taken a shine to Salman Khan’s most crunchy one-liner.

Katrina Kaif was spotted with a bandaged hand at a Cancer awareness event during the weekend. She not only marked her attendance, but felicitated the awardees too with her injured hand. Now, that’s called commitment!

The actress is currently shooting for Dhoom 3 and while practicing for an action scene, she apparently fell down and tore the ligament of her right hand. It’s heard she was in pain for a few hours, but was okay later.

As she was the chief guest at the Teal and Pink Awareness program for Cervical and Breast Cancer, she couldn’t have missed the event. She looked cheery in pink and was at ease. However, sources claim she needs to be careful for coming days.

Suffering an injury on the sets is nothing new for Katrina Kaif. She ended up with a bleeding nose while shooting for Yashraj Films’ Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. And also she met with an accident while performing an underwater stunt with Akshay Kumar during the shoot of De Dhana Dan.

Since Dhoom 3 requires her to be an action babe, Katrina Kaif has to look and act tough.

Aamir Khan grants Katrina Kaif’s Christmas wish!

All thanks to Aamir Khan, actress Katrina Kaif can enjoy her Christmas with the family.

After the success of Talaash, actor Aamir Khan is so elated that he has decided to go slow in his other project Dhoom 3. He has even requested the producers to delay the schedule so that Katrina Kaif, the movie’s actress, can take a Christmas break.

As a source tells a tabloid, “Aamir has been in a remarkable mood. In fact, it was during a casual conversation with the rest of the cast that Katrina mentioned her wish to spend Christmas and New Year with her family. Initially, the unit was to shoot throughout the last week of the year. Aamir requested the production house to delay the shoot so that Kat could take her holiday.”

Thus Yashraj Films paid heed to what Aamir said, and duly obliged. As for now, Katrina is in Mumbai, training in fight sequences for Dhoom 3, and then will move to London to ring in Christmas with family.

The movie’s next schedule starts only from February, 2013. Earlier, the crew shot for some high-octane stunts with Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif in Chicago.
